Over the last week we have been doing the Show practice a lot. Bring on the baked beans is are play that we have been rehearsing for the last 4 weeks or so. We also did some things on the elections. I learned that if you want to make a government you have to have good ideas and policies. Then if you want to make a government you have to get voted in with 5% and then work with others to make a government. What's your idea for a play ?
Bring On The Baked Beans is an slap stick comedy play that we are performing for Kaniere School and St Mary’s. It’s about a boy called John. Him and his mother are very poor. One day his mum starts crying because they are poor. John goes out further into the world to find a job. After he travelled a very long way he sees a castle. He walks up to the king, queen and princess, at first they get a bit of a fright but after a bit of chasing and explaining John tells them why he is there. Once he has finished his job he goes back home with his bag of gold.
Can you make slap stick comedy ?
This year the fives and sixes went to camp. I think the trip to Bridge Valley was way more fun than the trip back. I think the trip there was better because I thought I was going to be sick, maybe because I was really tired as well.
Of all the activities I did I liked the drift trikes most, probably because they did skids really easily. The other think I really liked was the Luge. On the first trip down the hill I went really really slow but on the last run I went so fast around the corner I crashed into a bush and I had to push the cart back onto the road to get going again.
The activities I didn’t really like was the shooting because I was horrible at aiming.
The High ropes course was a bit scary and frustrating because I was stuck behind Micah and Madden and they were going really slow.
Seesawed is a game we play in PE. There are two taggers. When the rest of the class runs across the court the taggers try to tag them. If they tag some one then they become seesawed. The seesawed can only lean left and right to tag some won.
In this game we are learning team building skills and sportsmanship.
Would you ever play this game ?

About two weeks ago we did the Matific Olympiad. Matific basically teaches you maths, except what we’re talking about here is REALLY hard maths. You get given like ten seconds to do a whole timetables board. I got my 150 stars and I got to level 8. I got a ruby certificate and it took me a long time to get my 150 stars .All the classes work towards completing their tasks and getting their stars. Would you like to challenge me to some maths problems?
A plane is flying from Christchurch to Hokitika with 20 couples on board, the plane crashed, every single person on the plane died. Yet Fifty couples survived, how is this possible? (There were no single people, they were all married.)
This week we finished off our Anzac Projects. I worked with Elizabeth. We wrote a letter to our mother in New Zealand while we were at Gallipoli. This is our work with our letter inside.
I learnt that the soldiers were really excited at first but when they got there they were scared because they lost heaps of friends and they might die.
Do you think you would be scared arriving on the beach?
